I like food, all food, but I especially like grilled and smoked foods. This is my attempt to share my successes, mistakes and all the fun I have cooking. I also enjoy toys and this allows me to indulge in new cooking tools. My wife and friend's have certainly enjoyed my experimenting on them with my dishes.
How many times have you sat around with friend's, family (or both) while a grill was smoking in the background. From warm summer cookouts to hearty winter meals, this gives us a chance to hang out, bond, share laughs and great food.
I have been cooking for a long time, but I seldom use recipes. I measure with my heart as some say, especially when it comes to garlic or bacon. I will do the best I can to give approximate measures but experimentation is part of the fun. One thing I always recommend is to get and USE a good cooking thermometer; probe, leave in, what ever! Just use a thermometer. This is the best way to get juicy, dare I say "moist", meat whether you are cooking on a grill, smoker, oven, stove or even an open fire.
